香港HK２
２０１０年１２月１２日～１５日は、友人の結婚式に参列するため香港へ。
I went to Hong Kong to attend the wedding ceremony of a friend of mine from December 12th until 15th, 2010.
わたくしダイスは新郎のアンディー君の１０年来の友人です。奥さんのトレイシーさん、顔もスタイルも抜群だなと思ったらお仕事はスッチーさん（笑い） なるほどね。
I've known Andy, the gloom, for ten years. And Tracy, the bride, is a cabin attendant. No wonder, she's nice looking and in perfect shape.
アンディー君には最後にマンチェスターで会って以来、メールなどのやりとりはしていたものの、顔を合わせることはありませんでした。
We hadn't seen each other since Manchester even though we exchanged a couple of e-mails.
うまく説明できないんですが、かれらから結婚式の招待メールが来たときに、なぜかまったくためらうことなく香港行きを決定。
It's hard to explain though, I didn't hesitate at all to decide to go to Hong Kong when I received the invitation for their wedding.
９年ぶりに再会してみると、正直マンチェスターで止まっていた時間がただ動き出したような、そんな感じでした
Time just started ticking again. That's the honest feeling about meeting him since Manchester.
香港の人たちに失礼かもしれませんが、なんかふつうに日本にいるような感覚をおぼえました。行き交う人々は、みんなふつうに日本にいそうだな、と。
No offence to the people in Hong Kong though, I felt like being in Japan. They looked like us with no disharmony being on the street in Japan when I passed them by.
でもかれらの口から出てくる言葉はちがうんですよね。広東語。香港では公用語が広東語と英語なんですね。
However, words coming out of their mouths are different, aren't they? People speak Cantonese and English as official language in Hong Kong.
結局奥さんのトレイシーさんのお友達のケニーさんが２日目は色々と香港を案内してくれて、何も観光とか計画しないまま日本を飛び出したものの、全然平気でした♪
I left Japan without planning out anything about sightseeing though, I had no problem at all because Kenny, a friend of Tracy's, showed me around in Hong Kong in Day 2.
さきほどふれましたが、香港には「日本」がたくさんありました。ファッション、食べ物、路面電車の広告や地下鉄の壁に貼ってあるポスター。ときたま日本にいるような錯覚を覚えるほど。セブンイレブンも街のあちこちにありますし。
As I mentioned earlier, I found many "Japan" in Hong Kong. Fashion, food, tram and ads in the trains and subway station. And I found countless number of Seven-Elevens here and there in the city. Am I in Japan or what?
セブンイレブンで売っているものが気になって中をのぞいてみると、あらびっくり！売っているお菓子や飲み物は日本のものだらけ... パッケージなんてほとんどそのままだし！
I was just curious on what they have in their Seven-Elevens, so I looked inside. OMG!!!!!!!!!! Stuffs in the shelves were almost as they were in Japan like sweets and snacks, soft drinks... Most of them come with exactly the same package you can see in Seven-Elevens in Japan!
香港を発つときに、率直に「ここにまた来たいなー」って思いました。今まで色んな国に行きましたが、香港は特別な「親しみ」を覚えました。
Before I left Hong Kong, honestly, I thought "I want to come back here". I've been many countries though, Hong Kong gave me a special feeling "familiar".

ただいま餅つき中☆ 山川、西澤両家で四十年続いてる餅つきでーす。Now making rice cake. It's a family event of both the Yamakawa and Nishizawa lasting for 40 years.
