以前母がやっていて、興味本位でまねしだしたらこうなりました（笑）
I saw it when my mom was doing this at first.
Later, I started to do the same thing.
Now what have I got?
さて、どうしたものか．．．
Wondering what I should do with THIS.

 

教室には金魚鉢があります。
There's a water tank in the classroom.



その中には金魚３匹、そして金ドジョウが１匹。
I have three fish and one gold weatherfish.



生物を世話するのは精神衛生上いいですね☆
I like taking care of a living being.
It's good for mental health ;-)

 

オレガノの花、咲きました☆
Oregano flowers are in bloom at thier early stage ;-)
とーっても小さな白いお花です♪
They are soooo small white flowers.
最近ものすごい勢いで成長していると思ったら、開花準備だったんですね～。
No wonder. I've seen the oregano growing so fast lately. That was because it was getting ready for flowers.







 

腐っても鯛(Sea bream is sea bream even if it goes bad.)．．．、か。It doesn't make any sense if just translated into English...

これを正しく意味を伝えつつ英語に直すにはどうすればいいだろうか？
How can I let it make sense in English with the right notion?

欧米の人々にとっての鯛は何になるか？
What would sea bream for the Japanese be for westerners?

無難なのはやはり　金　だろうか。
It's safe to say it's gold, isn't it?

なので、鯛ではなく金に焦点をあてて書き直してみました。
So I re-wrote one in English by using gold instead of sea bream.

腐っても鯛
Gold stays gold even if it's in the mud. （泥にまみれても金は金）

どんなもんでしょうか？

土足のまま入れる観光地が増えているので、日本に来たら建物に入るときは靴をぬぐと習ってきている外国人観光客の方達は割と戸惑うかもしれません。
Since we have more and more tourist sites where you can go in with your shoes on, tourists from overseas might be a bit confused because they were told to take off their shoes when they go into buildings once they are in Japan.

観光地で靴をぬぐべきかどうか戸惑っている外国人観光客の方をみかけたら、このフレーズを使ってみてください☆
When you see foreigners who seem wondering if they should take off their shoes or not, please use the phrases we practiced this time.

７月１日の信濃毎日新聞の新聞折込に入る　新幹線・高速バス時刻表　にうっかり広告を入れてしまいました。
I happened to put my school's advertisement onto the new time schedule of Shinkansen bullet train and inter-city express bus, which is going into the Shinano Mainichi Shinbun news paper on July 1st.

現在生徒は大人の女性がほとんどです。
Currently, almost all of my students are adult women.

今後未就学児や幼児も入ってもらいたいな～。
I'm hoping to teach pre-school kids...
