「なんで救急車なんて呼んだんだ！」
会長の心ない言葉に、一同は凍り付いた。
常態化していた深夜残業、そして休日出勤は、従業員を限界まで追いつめていた。
いつ終わるとも知れない注文の山、一方的に押し付けられた納期。
「大事なお客様からの注文なんだから、徹夜してでも仕上げろ！」
上層部からの乱暴な命令。
これが今の会社の状況を物語っていた。
今回の事故、会社は労災とは認めたくないようだが、これは起こるべくして起きたのだ。
後先考えずに営業が受けてくる注文は、まるで嵐のようだった。
注文数だけが実績として評価される営業にとって、製造現場がどれだけの修羅場になろうが関係ない。
納期という呪いは、その社員を正気の淵まで追いやった。
焦ってパニックに陥った彼の手を、機械は容赦なく押しつぶしたのだ。
ズタズタになった骨と神経を繋ぐべく、緊急手術は３時間に及んだ。
事故があった日、会長、社長、そして部長などの上層部は、ゴルフコンペに出かけていた。
工場に残っていたのは納期に追われる製造の作業員たちと、それを監督する課長らだった。
事故当時、責任者だった課長はすぐに１１９番通報をした。
安全第一であるはずの工場で起きた事故、速やかな対応は責任ある行動のはずだった。
「命に別状はなかったんだろ？だったらなんで救急車なんて呼んだんだ！」
事故にあった社員は会社に泥を塗ったと責められ、救急車を呼んだ課長は会長から怒鳴られた。
仕事って、一体何だろう？
私たちは一体、何のために働いているのだろう？

日本語にはない表現というか、発想が面白い。

There are so many evidence that contradict his statement.
彼の証言と矛盾する証拠がいくつもある。

Her fancy clothing and her modest salary don't balance out.
彼女の着る高級な服と、平凡な給料というのがどうも矛盾する。

It doesn't do any good if you always stay at home.

Because you stare at the same things inside your house all the time, your views start to be fixed likewise.

It gets you worried if something opposing to your views keeps coming to you though, that's necessary sometimes.

Facing new things at times gives you stimulations so that your opinions to things still have some space for alternatives.

I always learn from people who are a lot younger than me.

They tell me so many things either silently or at loud.

It's really happy moments especially when new things come out of their mouths.

They are still young, that doesn't mean they are unexperienced and incapable of carrying out things as well as adults.

The Internet is their best friend also.

When they aren't clear about things, they go online and get information.

They are awesome.

We can't fully imagine what kids are truly capable of.

This lack of imagination doesn't necessary mean we are not good enough.

What we are actually lack of is our will to believe that they are capable of anything.

Unless we get them soaked with visuals and sounds of video games, we are the ones who can witness their true abilities in the front seat.

Kids will never betray your expectation as long as that's what you truly believe.


 

A present is meant to be a happy thing to everyone.
Both the sender and recipient should be satisfied.
What if one of them isn't?
The word "present" is well said.
Regardless of being presentable or not, it's exactly what you look like.
There's something wrong with its packaging or content?
That's probably as far as you can get right now.
You'd perhaps laugh at it 10 years from now, or 20 years from now though, the embarrassing feeling you have will never go away so easily.
Maybe that's the lesson learned to be a grownup.
Sending a present is exactly presenting just the way you are at that moment.
What a scary thing it is to send someone a present.

It's totally healthy to make some efforts on your own to find out your answers to whatever you come to wonder.

There should also be another perspective.

Simply ask someone.

It seems like you are picking an easy way out though, asking is merely an act of your intelligence.

You can't ask the right question unless you have adequate intelligence deserving knowing the answer.

It's not about asking as many questions as possible, but being creative enough to come up with as many questions as possible in your brain and pick one out of many to reach the answer most efficiently.

That's who I wanna be.

There are things that I 'd like to bring in.

What do I expect more?



 

Do it over and over so that your body can react whatever you want to improve.

We tend to ask questions that have already been answered.

Just do it.

That's all we have, really.


 

A shooter misses the target.

It happens no matter if the shooter is professional or not.

Is a gun a tool to protect someone important?

No way.

What if you cause a friendly fire and end up killing your loved one?

What if you miss the target and the bullet hits an innocent child?

先日、イングリッシュCafe　でどんな話題がふさわしいか？　について少し考えました。
結局、イングリッシュCafe　という名前がすでに重要なキーワードだということに気が付きました。
Cafe という言葉が付いている以上、　【カフェで気軽におしゃべりするような話題】　が適当だということ。
あと、英会話サークルのような位置づけの活動ということなんであって、【英会話レッスン】ではないということ。
お越しくださるのは生徒ではなく、【参加者＝友人】なので、あくまで会話に終始するということ。
ただ、参加者の皆さんが気持ちよく英会話を楽しむためには、【これって発表になっていない？】　とか、【英会話からそれていない？】という雰囲気になり始めた段階で、ダイスが率先して方向修正していいんじゃない？　という考えにも至りました。
3年という節目で、市内の競合相手がすでに全滅しており、ある意味独走状態という見方もある中で、なぜダイスのイングリッシュCafeは生き残ったのだろうか？
そして今のままでいいのだろうか？
イングリッシュCafeを必要としている人たちがもっと、もっといるんじゃないだろうか？
色々と自分に問いかけているところです。
