以前善光寺の猫を特集しましたが、今回は善光寺の亀を特集します。
Last time I featured cats in the Zenkoji compound. This time, I feature turtles in the Zenkoji compound.

皆さんは大勧進前にある池にたくさん亀がいるのはご存知ですよね？
As you know you can see many turtles in the pond alongside Daikanjin's institution.

でも善光寺境内の東側にある庭園にも池があって、そこに亀がいるのはあまりご存じないんじゃないかと思います。
But not many of you may know there's another pond with turtles in the east part of the compound, where a Japanese style garden lies.

先日城山公園に　アートでえいごあそび　のイベントのチラシを配りに行った帰りに通り過ぎたんですが、初めはてっきり亀の置き物かと思いました。
The other day I went to Joyama park to give out some flyers for my event. On the way home, I happened to walk past the pond. It was there. I thought it was a fake turtle because it didn't seem to move.



でもよくみるとしっかり動いているんです。
When I got closer to have a better look. It moved a bit. So I knew it was real one.

基本的にここの亀は人間が怖くないので逃げません。
It's not afraid of humans, it seems.

でもデカイので、まだ試しに持ち上げてみる勇気はありません。
Because it's big, I still don't have guts to lift its body...
