日本人にとって冠詞は非常に理解が困難なものと受け取られていますが、案外そうでもないと思っています。
Articles are considered to be so much complicated that we can never understand though, I personally feel otherwise.

冠詞を正しく使うことで私たちの英語表現の幅は広がりますし、より細かいニュアンスを相手に伝えることができます。
If you can use them properly, you can not only wider the range of your expressions in English, but also you can convey more precise information to others.

I went to Daigakuin (= graduate school).

I went to the Daigakuin.

上記の文章の違いは大きいです。

The という冠詞を用いれば特定の大学院を指しますが、用いなければ『大学院』という名前の何かということになります。この写真は大学院という名前のカフェですが（笑）
