I came across a picture that I took two years ago in Yagishiri Island in Hokkaido Prefecture.

北海道の札幌市に「焼尻ゴマちゃんクラブ」という生態観察グループが存在します☆
There is a volunteer club for doing small surveys on spotted seals in Yagishiri island, based in Sapporo City, Hokkaido and called "Yagishiri Goma-chan Club" ;-)

焼尻島は、なんと一年中ゴマフアザラシが生息している島なんです。
This island is barely known as a breeding ground for spotted seals for all year round.
