門前の春 ～桜編～
Gazing over spring in Monzen (neighborhood of Zenkoji Buddhist temple)
門前にある桜が見ごろを迎えている。
Pleasant time has arrived for viewing sakura cherry blossoms.
木の老若はあれど、花はどれも初々しい。
No matter how old those trees may be, each blossom looks like a new-born baby ;-)
特に大門の交差点にあるしだれ桜は見事だ。
The si-da-re zakura cherry tree is just breathtaking. It's at the Daimon intersection for your information.
昼ごろには５分咲きくらいだったが、これくらいがちょうどよい。
About one fifth of all blossoms are in bloom around noon though, I like this timing the best actually.
枝の間から土蔵が見えていかにも日本の風景という感じだ。
I like it because I can see kura (Japanese traditional storage) through the branches, the atmosphere of which makes it a nice typical Japanese scenery.
